Have you ever struggled with a Child Resistant Closure, accidentally poured too much medium, or wanted an easier way to keep your Galkyd fresh?
With a saddle pump, you won't have to unscrew, carefully pour, clean the threads, and re-screw your cap every time you need some medium. Just give it a pump to dispense the perfect amount and get back to painting.
The reason why this pump keeps mediums fresher longer is simple. A fixed closure like a saddle pump reduces the introduction of fresh air compared to a bottle with a screw cap. Less air means your fast-drying mediums (e.g. Galkyd, Galkyd Lite, Neo Megilp) maintain their fluidity longer.
To use: Cut straw to length and replace the original cap with the saddle pump. If a hardened bead forms at the tip, leave it until you need to use the product. This acts as a plug to prevent air from entering the bottle. For extended storage, screw down the saddle pump to close.
We still recommend adding a bit of Gamsol to Galkyd and Galkyd Lite from time-to-time to maintain viscosity and to help avoid drying in the bottle.
